1. ANSWER YOUR PHONE
When someone needs to contact you, 1800 Reverse will call your number to present the reverse charge call. The person calling isn't calling you directly, so you won't see their number on your caller ID (the incoming 1800 Reverse call will appear as a private or blocked number).
2. LISTEN TO THE AUTOMATED PRESENTATION AND THE NAME OF THE PERSON CALLING
After you answer the phone, you'll hear an automated female voice recording which will play:
“Hello. This is 1800 Reverse. You have a reverse charge call on the line from <you'll hear the caller's name so you know who needs to speak to you<.
3. DECIDE IF YOU WANT TO ACCEPT THE CALL AND TALK TO THE PERSON CALLING
After the name is played, you'll be asked whether you'd like to accept the call and be connected to that person.
IF YOU'RE RECEIVING THE CALL ON A MOBILE:
After the caller's name is played, you'll hear a prompt asking you: “To accept the charges press 9, to deny the charges press 7, for rate information press #."
If you would like to accept the call and respond by pressing 9 on your mobile keypad, you'll hear a message notifying you that:
"your call is connected.
You can then speak to the caller. After you've finished talking, just end the call. You'll then be sent one or more Premium SMS's which charge you for the call. If you don't wish to speak to the caller, you can simply press 7 on your keypad to deny the call and charges. You can also press # to hear the call charges before you choose to accept or deny. If you don't respond, we'll give you another chance to accept or deny the call using your keypad.
IF YOU'RE RECEIVING THE CALL ON A HOME PHONE:
After the caller's name is played, you'll hear a prompt asking you: "To accept the charges, say 'yes' ".
If you would like to accept the call and respond with 'yes', you will receive a message notifying you that:
“This call will appear on your regular telephone bill."
You'll then be connected and be able to speak with the caller. After you've finished your conversation, simply hang up.
If you don't wish to speak to the caller, you can simply respond with 'no'. if you do not respond with a 'yes' or 'no', you'll be asked again in a different way if you want to accept or deny the call; by pressing specific numbers on your phone keypad. The message will say:
"Sorry let's try something else. To accept the charges, press9. Or to decline the charges, press7,
If you then press 9 to accept the call, you'll be connected and the call charge will appear on your regular phone bill.
